With the sun setting last night the Queen Mary 2 departed Southampton.

The discharge of cargo is now complete and a lorry full of stores and spares arrived this morning.  All has now been loaded on board and now it needs to be unpacked,  checked and either stored or used,  depending on how urgently it was required.

All being well the James Clark Ross will sail for the Arctic on the afternoon of the 30th of June.
