I mentioned yesterday that it was Mid-Winter for all those in the Antarctic.  A highlight of this day is the BBC World Service broadcast to the British bases,  which they do try to receive via short-wave radio.  This broadcast is available for all to listen to and enjoy and can be heard HERE

The discharge of cargo has continued throughout the day and I think should be completed tomorrow.  Monday will see the mobilisation for the Arctic cruise begin,  which I hope means that the weekend will be a quiet one for us all.

All being well the James Clark Ross will sail for the Arctic on the afternoon of the 30th of June.
